On one of the last days we had a speaker from uganda who runs an roginization that brings refugies from places all over the world that have problems. He came from uganda in 1986. In uganda he was part of the goverment, he held a really high place but when he came to the us as a refugee he started out as a school bus driver and now hes rescuing refugies from uganda and owns a company. he has helped so many people and has done great things. Walter said that we had some of the best questions. He also used this really good expreshion that we are the future leaders and we hold peoples lives like an egg in our hands we can either through it away or make it hatch.

we went to Gompers charter middle school
which supposivly used to be really bad but didn't really look too bad. we made binders for some of the kids because they had old binders but with our binders they could have a nice and new binder so that they didn't have to deal with a old binder. the kids were nice i guess. we played soccer and ate lunch together. I think the kids were happy that we visited.

when we did the diaper drive I really got regected alot
but kion was funny and brought our spirts up. This one lady was interested in what we were
doing and donated a whole lot. But this other person wanted a bunch of authentication that we actually were donating the diapers and the money to father joes. Most of the people were nice and donated a little bit of money or some diapers. Overall the people were nice.

all of the people were really evil and mean one guy said does it look like i need diapers
and some other person said sorry it doesnnt concern me

tomorrow we are giong to stand infront of stores and have a diaper dive for homless mothers

today we went to the wild animal park and planted seeds where the fire burned the all of the vegitation so that it looked nice and the animals had some food to eat. we drove on the coolbus thingie. We had to choose a group of three we got one shovle and tthree plants. once we planted the plants in the ground we had to put this pvc pipe net around it so that it could grow without wild animals eating them after that we had to put molch around the bottom of the plant. tthe pvc pipe net was supposed to disinigrate by its self when it was exposed to the sun and the air. Planting all of those plants was alot of work and it was really hot. but I felt good about what we did.

today we visited the glbt center and talked about gay and bi and lesbian and trans gender. then after we went to the glbt center we delivered meals to people with aids and hiv

I think that the homeless people really appreciated the gifts that i gave them because they did dent have a toothbrush or some deodorant

second day

today we went to saint vincent de pauls village and got a tour. This morning before we went to saint vincent de pauls village we made ppj sandwiches and put them into a paper bag with deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and cotton swabs.I also gave nice blankets to homeless people.Then we gave them to homeless people.
